Kampala Administrative Position Open

letter forwarded by Pat Gill

Hi Pat, Thought of you this weekend as I was struggling over a decision regarding the hiring of an executive director for Mango Tree. Want to run it by you and see if you have any ideas...

I don't know if you're aware of it, but I resigned as managing director back in July. I've been stuck doing too much administrative work (at which I'm not particularly good) for too long. If I'm going to stay healthy and sane I need to get back to the work I love which is field based and focused on primary education reform.

We can't offer a big juicy expat salary, of course, and we're looking for someone with strong financial and administrative skills. Someone who can help us build the strong business foundation we've never gotten around to because no one on staff has any background in that area.

My fantasy person is a retired business executive from the US or other western country who has already made all their money and is looking for an interesting challenge in a warm climate for a year or two. Any suggestions would be highly appreciated! I can send you more information (we have a job posting that outlines the expectations) if you need it. All my best, Craig www.mangotreeuganda.org
