TEAAers Publish

Evelyn Avery and Emilee Hines Cantieri

Hi Fellow TEAAers, This has been a very exciting year for the Averys, participants in the first TEA group (1961-1963). My third book, MODERN JEWISH WRITERS IN AMERICA, was published by Palgrave-MacMillan; Don returned to teaching after having served as Dean of Harford Community College; And we both returned from a marvelous tour of Japan where we had been invited to speak to university students and to the Jewish Literature Society of Japan about Jewish writers, history, and the Holocaust. Best of all, we became the grandparents of an adorable little girl, Kayla, whose charm and intellect match her looks. Best Wishes, Evelyn and Don Avery

Ed, my main news is that I've just had another book published, a funny novel, BURNT STATION. Not Africa related. I'll quote from back of book: "Vince's friends think he's crazy to move to small-town Burnt Station, and after a while, Vince and his wife Annette begin to agree. As the new lawyer, Vince gets all the quirky cases nobody else wants. His clients include a teenage kleptomaniac, a pot user who streaks the college campus, the judge's wayward wife, and even the mayor after the town fire department burns the wrong house in a practice.... This droll novel will keep you laughing from beginning to end." It's available from Amazon.com for $19.95, from PublishAmerica or me for $16.95, all plus $3.00 shipping. I also now have a website, www.emileehines.com . Browsers can read a brief bio, see a recent photo of me with the Mustang and read about my books. On a personal note I'll be going to Greece in Sept. and to Central America in January, with lots of writing and side trips in between. On a trip to NY in June, I spent an evening each with Linda Kunz (1-C) and Lloyd Sherman (2-B). Best to you and Betsey, Emilee Hines Cantieri (1-A)
